TFS also produces various tree seedlings of indigenous and exotic species. Indigenous (native) species includes timber species such as Pterocarpus angolensis (Blood-wood), Afzelia quanzensis (Pod mahogany), Milicia excelsa, Milletia stuhlumannii others includes Eucalyptus species, Tectona grandis (Teak), Gmelina arborea (White teak) Acacia species, and Dalbergia melanoxylon (African Blackwood). We also produce many more agroforestry species (nitrogen fixing)  and wild fruits trees such as Azanza garkeana, Vitex species, Vangueria infausta,  Annona senegalensis, Uapaca kirkiana, Parinari curatellifolia, Strychnos cocculoides, Sclerocarya birrea, Berchemia discolor, Adansonia digitata, Azanza garkeana, Ziziphus mauritiana, Flacourtia indica and Diospyros mespiliformis. Other exotics fruits inclused Mangoes, Oranges, Avocadoes, tamarind, syzygium guineense and Tangerine and many more. TFS have prepared the list and description of tree seeds manual that shows the ecology of the right areas for planting trees which includes seven (7) forest climatic zones and eighteen (18) specific areas for planting trees within those zones which can be accessed at seed documents and resources section (online link). As the demand for seed from native species increases it is important that standard procedures are followed.
